
Experiencing Social Inequality and Building Inclusive Barrier-free Neighbourhood
The game is designed to empower the leaners to contribute to the acquisition of the location point of interest (POI) information and Wi-Fi signal data to establish the map and positioning fingerprint of their school campus while playing the game in the physical environment. These data are the necessary information for building the innovative barrier-free navigation (BFN) for visual impaired and wheelchair users.​

​The game will be integrated with Mapxus BFN system, which was the winner of the prestigious HKICT Awards in 2023 and 2024, as well as the Asia Pacific ICT Alliance Award in 2024. Playing the game, students will have real-life experience on “being blind” but must navigate in an environment fully of barriers. They will be able to gain hands-on experience with technologies that promote social inclusivity and sustainable urban design, and learn to how contribute to smarter, more accessible communities.
