In June 2025, SBBC was glad to provide support to Mapxus Academy for its Spatial AI and ESG courses for junior students in Hong Kong. The objective was to introduce the concepts of artificial intelligence and ESG through real-life neighborhood experiences.
Mapxus Academy’s Spatial Ai Technology, especially the Barrier-free Navigation (BFN) is an international award-wining technology. SBBC was required to provide relevant teaching materials and professional advices in ESG based on the applications of the technology for Mapxus Academy staff for conducting the activity.
A half-day learn-with-gaming activity was provided for 150 grade 4 students from Diocesan Girl’s Junior School on 18 June. The students’ task was to create the BFN to assist the person in needs (photo illustration below) for their campus in Jordon, Hong Kong. They were required to answer related questions especially some typical one related to social (S) equality for disability to promote this important concept. THEY WERE REQUIRED TO EXPERIENCE THE DIFFICULTY OF NAVIGATING IN A “BLINDED” MODE.
